Hello! Thank you for visiting my about page! I'm a Shamanic and Reiki master, holistic life coach, energy intuitive, artist and educator with a BA in psychology. Since 2007 I’ve had the joy of combining my love of fiber arts with the desire to help others through my teaching location, the Creative Sewing Studio and creating art with Cloth and Clover Co.
My lifelong journey within the holistic realm began young and somewhat by chance. I had my first Reiki treatment when I was 15 after stopping into a Holistic shop "just for fun". Any naivety quickly turned to curiosity as beautiful colors and shapes appeared in my mind’s eye, accompanied by an incredible sense of calm, warmth, and peaceful energy. This was significant enough that I craved to know and understand more. I read books, watched documentaries and absorbed nuggets of information anywhere I could.
My studies and practice ebbed and flowed over the years until 2010 when after a lifetime of sports injuries, car accidents, years of idiopathic pain, several surgeries and lastly a bought of undiagnosed Lyme disease that left me so ill that I thought I wasn’t going to recover and even worse, I thought Lyme would kill me. It was at this time I realized I needed more than just conventional medicine if I were to really heal and have a less painful, more healthy future.
I became more aware of the way I was living. I had always been physically active, but there were so many other areas of my life I could improve; reducing sugar, processed foods, eating organic when I could, developing a yoga and meditation practice, infrared sauna treatments and stress reduction techniques to name a few. Remembering how significant that first Reiki treatment was and subsequent ones over the years being even more amazing, I knew this was an area I needed to explore more, not just for myself but also in with the hope to help others.
That year I dove deeper into Reiki. It then became so obvious that I had been mostly only treating my physical body – but not my spirit, nor my energetic body. We are all energy and a I realized this was what I had been missing all along! Over the next few years I studied Reiki with Bret Bevell at the Omega Institute and received my Reiki Level 1 and 2 and Reiki Master level certification within the Mikao Usui lineage. Additionally, I began exploring other energy/healing/self-care modalities and studied under others like; Tina Zion, Joe Dispenza and Bhava Ram who have decades of experience in the healing field.
Healing is not linear and I will always be a student of life. By combining an array of modalities, I can happily say I’m in a more pain free, balanced chapter. Understanding how pain can permeate all areas of life I have great empathy, sympathy and understanding for those I work with. It’s an honor to provide my clients with healing energy sessions, holistic coaching and more knowledge to help them live less painful, more balanced, and more healthy and happy lives.
